Biography

Sam Adrian McConville AKA Sammy Slaya, is a hiphop, rap artist, born March 9th 1996, in the Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia.
He’s been an artist from the day he was taught to draw, although, music wasn’t the art he thought he would ever discover, until his early 20’s.
His upbringing was good, with the support of his family, but during his late teens he was misguided to drug use, which would result in a battle with meth addiction.
He then found himself behind bars at the age of 21, for domestic violence, as he suffered with drug psychosis, which resulted in serving a 9 month sentence for his actions.

Visions & Accomplishments

During his time spent, he would listen to Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Dr Dre, Tupac, Wiz Khalifa, Fetty Whap and Hopsin. It was during his time behind bars where he learnt he was in love with music.
The day he was released, he had heard Joyner Lucas, and was blown away.
After his release, he still had problems with meth addiction. It was not until he found himself homeless, when he discovered he could rap to help with the addiction.
He had gone through psychosis again, but this time he woke up in hospital, in the ICU.
The day he was released from hospital, was the day he started his music career, as Sammy Slaya.
